Praia da Torre Surf Spot Details: Your Complete Surf Guide & Travel Planner
Praia da Torre, located in Oeiras is a hidden gem located just around the corner from the popular Praia da Carcavelos. While this spot is more sheltered, it offers a great wave when Carcavelos is maxing out, especially for surfers looking for a quieter place to ride. The wave typically breaks from the rocks on the west side of the beach, offering a right-hander, but depending on the sand banks and swell direction, you can find other peaks along the center of the beach. Since the bottom is all sand, you don’t have to worry about rocks or reefs.
Best Surf Season: October to March. During the summer, the conditions are usually flat.
