The most convenient way is by car rental, which takes about 1 hour and 15 minutes. Public buses also run regularly from Lisbon's Campo Grande bus terminal directly to Peniche, offering a reliable and affordable option for those without a car.

A car is highly recommended. While the town center is walkable, Peniche is a peninsula with a variety of surf spots scattered along its coast. Having a car gives you the freedom to chase the best conditions, depending on the wind and swell direction, and to explore nearby areas like Baleal.

Peniche offers incredible diversity. Supertubos is famous for its powerful, hollow beach break. For beginners, the many bays around Baleal and Cantinho da Baía provide gentle, protected waves.
