Bico Surf Spot Details: Your Complete Surf Guide & Travel Planner
Bico is a mellow pointbreak in São Pedro do Estoril, known for its long, peeling right-handers that pick up the most swell in this stretch of coast. Located on the west side of Praia de São Pedro do Estoril, it’s a favorite among longboarders and less experienced surfers looking for a fun and forgiving wave.
With the right swell direction, this righthander can connect all the way to the inside, reaching a section called ‘Esquerda da Rocha’ (the rock’s left). However, be mindful of the shore break, which can get heavy with a rising tide.
To access this spot, head to Praia de São Pedro do Estoril, where you’ll also find another nearby break, Praia da Bafureira, on the other side of the bay.
Best Surf Season: October to March. Like much of this coastline, summer is usually flat.
Plan your surf trip to Bico and enjoy one of São Pedro do Estoril’s most fun and accessible waves! Check out our Lisbon Surf Trip Guide for all the details!
